Our experienced team at The Diggs in Wilmington, NC has a genuine love for animals. Each employee is fully trained in pet first aid and safety. With Paws & Claws Animal Hospital located next door, we are able to address any routine or emergency pet issues should they arise at our doggy daycare. Our knowledgeable staff knows the best techniques to care for your pets, and we adhere to the highest quality of care for both our guests and pet-parents.
Nicole
Kennel Manager
Nicole, originally from Anchorage, Alaska, and became a North Carolinian when her family relocated while she was three. Nicole has been in some capacity of veterinary medicine since 2002, and she has over two years of experience working in emergency and specialty medicine. While Nicole has primarily worked with small companion animals, she has a great deal of experience caring for, and handling, birds of prey. Nicole was lucky enough to marry her high school sweetheart and together they have two amazing boys. Nicole and her family share their home with a variety of four dogs: Amba, Vader, Harleigh, and Bailey. In addition, she has one cat, Catness, and a rabbit named Thunder. When Nicole is not working, her time is devoted to her family, friends and their various activities. Nicole enjoys swimming, going to the beach & North Carolina Mountains.

Hayden
Assistant Manager
Hayden was born and raised in Maryland and moved to Wilmington in 2020. She grew up going to work with her mom at a veterinary hospital and has since fallen in love with animals of all shapes and sizes. She has worked at The Diggs for a little over a year now and absolutely adores all of the animals that come in. Hayden recently adopted a Dalmatian named Oreo to add to the family of 2 other dogs and 2 lizards. She plans on pursuing a career in animal care.
